Had another meh week, still battling the cold/stomach bug thing, but I managed to get most of my work done.
Formatted the Editing Non Fiction book for this week’s launch and pushed my free promo on both the Plotting Non Fiction book and Birds Aren’t Real. Got up to number one is conspiracy thrillers (!!!!!!!!!) and held it. I’m sitting at number 3 right now in both conspiracy thriller and horror suspense on the last day of the sale.
I wrote up my business plans for the blog last week. And this week I’ll do some reflecting on what I’d set out to do this year. And then the rest of the year I’ll be focusing on building my new website on ‘blog’ days. Only a few weeks left until 2023.
I smashed through two chapters of deep edits on Birds Aren’t Real 2 and I’m nearly done. Pretty exciting. I’m looking forward to starting the rewrites soon. I feel like it’s the best story I’ve written so far. Which is crazy, but I love it.
I’ve brainstormed some pretty interesting ideas for my next book too. Some simulation, alternate dimension type nonsense. It’s gonna be cool. But I don’t want to rush it. I’m going to use all of the time I have to plot it so I can do it justice.
And I finished the first read on my short stories for All Signs 3 and I’m stoked to put them all together in a book. These are probably the best first draft stories I’ve written. I barely had any notes to make. I’m going to go deeper and make sure there’s an arc for each one over the next few weeks and I’m sure I’ll have more work to do then, but these first drafts were freakin’ clean.
Working on breaking down my business plan and thinking about a Black Friday sale today. And continuing with edits the rest of the week.
The count down to bigger business ideas starts now.
