Not everything went according to plan last week. I’m going to blame it partly on my work schedule being a little wonky so I didn’t have the time I usually have for each task, and then I got out of the house for a change so *shrug* oh well. It’s fine.
I tried to get the bookbub fan building going, but there’s an issue with my coupon code. Ugh. Waiting to hear back about it. Hopefully they fix it quickly so I can get on the builder I want in September. Also haven’t heard back about my interview request. Not sure if that’s normal for this website or not. I’m gonna double check my spam folder and make sure I just didn’t miss the e-mail.
The tiktok video from last week is still going, almost at 2k views now. And the videos I’ve posted since have gotten a decent amount of attention as well. My follower count is nearing 500 *wide eyes* and now I feel a little bit more pressure to post regularly. I’m also donating a few books to a giveaway in December. I’ve picked Birds Aren’t Real as the book so hopefully I’ll get people to preorder book 2 and gain a few more readers that way.
Set up my social media posts and scheduled a newsletter for Thursday when the kindle countdown starts. Fingers crossed it goes well. I have the bargain booksy newsletter blast on Thursday as well. I’m nervous and excited about this one. I feel like I did the things right this time and should get a good handful of sales this weekend.
Blog work will be simple this week. I just have to type up my book thoughts from last month. And then maybe I’ll spend the extra time playing with website design again. I need to figure out how to keep my url if I switch hosting. And I need to see if sitearcade has updated their plans yet so I can play with the pro author pack.
I read through the first half of the book on editing and added some more to it. I’m going to create worksheets to add inline and also at the end of the book for printout/copies. Maybe a link to the pdf versions if they join my mailing list. But I don’t know if I want to do a mailing list for the nonfiction. Since I’m not branding myself completely as a writer expert. But it’s coming along nicely and this week I’ll finish the first read through.
I didn’t get all my words written last week. My day off was weird so I didn’t spend enough time on it. My fault, but I know I can fix it. I started a scene that I’m excited to write, so I’m sure once I sit down to work on it, the words will flow nicely.
I also need to finish the Pro Writing Aid run on the witch book. I didn’t do any of it last week since I decided to socialize. But I did make another rough cover design that I love. I can’t wait to get Daniel’s interpretation of it.
I finished some more bonus content last week and hopefully I can get through another one or two this week.
Gotta get to work
